Samantha Mohr
Her first time competing in a pageant was at the recommendation of an acquaintance of UGA students, Mohr won the Miss Columbus 1985 title. Mohr became eligible to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant, which began in June. Mohr was awarded the title of Miss Georgia 1985, on Saturday 22 June 1985. Mohr took home more than 3500 dollars in scholarship money and additional prizes at the pageant for the state. The Miss Georgia was a part of her. Georgia and made public appearances all over Georgia as part of her duty. Mohr, Georgia's representative, was at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September of 1985. Mohr was a one-in-one chance to win the Miss America title. Computer models proved reliable in predicting Susan Akin's accomplishment. Mohr was not on the Top-10 list for the National crown. Mohr's tenure being Miss Georgia Miss Georgia continued until Marlesa Ball was crowned Miss Georgia 1986.
